Sedbergh Vietnam – CVK: From environmental campaigns to a culture of green action

At Sedbergh Vietnam – CVK (a member of EQuest Education Group), environmental education is not treated as a short-term campaign. Instead, it is built into a living ecosystem of action, one where students are not just participants, but active contributors to a greener way of life.

Rather than starting with big slogans, Sedbergh Vietnam – CVK runs a series of environmental projects throughout the school year. These projects create space for students to observe real issues, ask questions, and propose their own solutions. From initiatives such as Green Day, CVK Go Green – Environmental Project Week, and book-related projects, to weekly environmental lessons and daily activities like planting and caring for trees, green living is gradually nurtured and spread across the school community.

Through these projects, students explore topics such as forest ecosystems and marine environments, while also taking part in simple yet meaningful actions with long-term impact, cleaning up local parks, sorting waste, recycling paper, and reducing food waste. By learning through hands-on practice, students begin to see the connection between everyday choices and their impact on the environment.

More importantly, Sedbergh Vietnam – CVK students learn to take responsibility for their decisions, laying the foundation for a sustainable mindset that extends beyond school and into their future lives.

This approach reflects EQuest’s broader educational philosophy: encouraging active student engagement and viewing sustainability as a shared responsibility, cultivated through education and real-world action.

This article is part of the “Green In Action” series, sharing Green initiatives across EQuest member units aligned with the Green School standards: Right Mindset – Real Action – Green Living.
