On the morning of April 16, 2024, the second day of his working visit to Vietnam, Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School, a member of EQuest Education Group.
CEO Tim Cook arrived at Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School (Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi) and had a close and friendly exchange with teachers and students right in the courtyard of the school.
After half an hour of exchanging and taking photos, he moved to the main building to attend a class where iPads were being used for teaching. Here, Apple Inc. leaders participated in observing, discussing and interacting with students and teachers in two classes 5A0 and 6B0 of the school. The students also had a comfortable conversation with the CEO in English.
On X (Twitter), Mr. Tim Cook shared: “Hanoi Star School is a shining example of how educators are incorporating iPad into the classroom in meaningful ways. Thank you Principal Nhan, educators, students & Giang Oi for letting me join your environment lesson where we learned ways we can reduce , reuse and recycle.”
The visit of the Apple representative marks the cooperation and companionship in applying and deploying technology in education at the Hanoi Star Education System and Apple Inc., with the introduction of iPad into the classroom as an official teaching device and learning tool.
Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School is the first school to use iPads as its official teaching tool. Since 2019, the school has been teaching according to the “share iPad” model, through a main classroom and then sharing it to the classes through the screen.
From July 2023, the leaders of the EQuest Education Group and the Hanoi Star Education System agreed to implement the “Apple iPad for Learning” program (1:1 Teaching with iPad). Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School is one of the first education systems in Vietnam to apply this innovative initiative.
As one of the most famous education systems in Hanoi in terms of training quality, the Hanoi Star Education System has experienced 14 years of formation and development. In line with the common strategy of EQuest Education Group, Hanoi Star focuses on applying technology in teaching, learning and management, of which the “Apple iPad for Learning” project is one of the outstanding projects of the school to create a renewed and proactive educational environment with creativity, adaptability and keeping up with global change.
In November 2023, Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School was awarded international education quality accreditation by Cognia (USA). This milestone also promotes continuous improvement in the curriculum and activities at Hanoi Star, personalization in learning to bring the best educational experience.
