Einstein School Vung Tau: Building a green school through a sustainable approach

“Einstein School Vung Tau is not only greener in its surroundings, but also ‘greener’ in the hearts of its people,” shared Ms. Tran Thi Bich Trang, Vice Principal of Einstein School Vung Tau.

The journey to build a green school at Einstein School Vung Tau (A member of EQuest Education Group) began with a clear vision and a strong, well-planned approach. Instead of implementing isolated activities, the school chose to develop a long-term “Green School” program, following a 3-year roadmap with 4 phases, gradually fostering green habits and environmental awareness across the entire school community.

What sets Einstein School Vung Tau apart is its systematic and well-coordinated implementation. From the beginning, the school established a set of guidelines, introduced 20-32 green habits tailored to each grade level, and formed a team of “Green Ambassadors” to promote sustainable living among students.

Green elements are also integrated into daily learning, school life, and operations, from waste sorting and creating “green corridors” to embedding sustainability into subjects and experiential projects. At the same time, various activities are rolled out in phases, such as “No Plastic Day” and “Green Classroom”, helping students develop awareness and a sense of responsibility for protecting the environment.

To date, the project remains on track and has completed about 80% of its planned roadmap. Through small daily actions, a green lifestyle is gradually taking shape and spreading consistently throughout the school community. As envisioned by the educators behind the project, Einstein School Vung Tau is becoming not only greener as a learning environment, but also a place where the seeds of environmental awareness are nurtured in every student.
