At many schools, environmental education often stops at raising awareness. At Sedbergh Vietnam, a member of EQuest Education Group, students are encouraged to go further: to observe real-world challenges, ask questions, and take initiative in developing solutions using the knowledge and skills they acquire in the classroom.
With this spirit in mind, the NextGen STEM Fair was created as a platform for learning, creativity, and innovation, where students transform ideas related to sustainability and environmental protection into practical projects through STEM thinking and problem-solving.

🌱 Inspired by challenges they see in everyday life, Sedbergh Vietnam students have developed a wide range of projects focused on AI, robotics, environmental protection, and renewable energy.
What makes these projects especially meaningful is that most of the ideas were initiated by the students themselves. From identifying problems and conducting research to testing and refining their solutions, students were supported by teachers in developing critical thinking, project-based learning skills, and effective implementation strategies. The school also provided the space, resources, and collaborative environment needed to bring these ideas to life.

📌 In April 2026, NextGen STEM Fair 2026 welcomed students, parents, and visitors to explore innovative projects that approached environmental challenges through technology and creativity. Highlights included the “Saigon Tour” project promoting sustainable tourism and green lifestyles, an AI-powered plant care system integrated with environmental sensors, and the use of drones and AI to support disaster- and flood-affected communities.

The experience at Sedbergh Vietnam demonstrates a new approach to building a Green School. When given opportunities to observe, experiment, and develop their own ideas, students can become active contributors to sustainable solutions. And sometimes, the ideas that begin in today’s classrooms can create meaningful change for communities and the future.
